Brain health for life, learning & healing

We bring culture, community and brain health science together — delivering programs that support holistic wellbeing for children, young people and the workforce.

About Yiliyapinya

Brain health, grounded in culture

'Yiliyapinya' means brain in Wankumara (Galali) Language. We are an Indigenous-led not-for-profit bringing together culture, community and brain health science.

We improve brain health by strengthening key cognitive skills, including attention, memory and processing speed — how quickly the brain takes in and uses information. Our culturally responsive programs use tailored, science-informed activities, therapeutic practices and healing practices to support wellbeing in everyday life.

Our outcomes

Impact that lasts

Our programs don't just respond to need in the moment. They build the foundations for lasting change — in brains, in families, in workplaces, and across generations.

Stronger cognitive skills for life and learning

Attention, memory and processing speed that stay with young people long after a program ends.

Deeper connection to culture and self

Identity, belonging and pride — the foundations of a strong self and a pathway to healing.

Families supported to heal together

Healing grounded in culture and held by community becomes shared and longer lasting.

Workforces equipped to support wellbeing
